Is there a way to Sync/Archive Devices in PI3.0

• Running PI3.0 and was puzzle how PI sync/archive devices. Got hundred of devices and every now and then engr. will change the config or upgrade the device (eg. IOS)..etc.
• But PI inventory database is always not up to date and always have to do bulk sync and archive in PI GUI...Is there a better way of doing this via API or some other automation. 
• Thought PI will periodically poll the device for any changes and update its database.

There's not currently a way to perform a sync via the API.  However, we do have a user story for that on our backlog! 

For configuration archives, a configuration archive job can be scheduled to run periodically.  In 3.0 & 3.1, go to Inventory > Device Inventory > Configuration Archive, check all of the devices you want, then click Schedule.  Enter your schedule parameters, and away you go.
