I have read the documentation but I still have a question, can I integrate a c200 M2 with UCS manager / FI-6100?
I think the answer is yes with a "UCS P81E" adapter..but why is a FEX 2232PP a requirement? can I use a 5548UP instead?
Also, is a 1225 VIC also an option?
Thank you

Hello,
For M1 / M2 servers, you need FEX 2232 to integrate them with UCSM.
You can also use other 10G adapters.
VIC 1225 is not supported on C200 M2 server.
Thanks

Padma, thank you for your reply.
can the FEX 2232 be replaced with 5548?

Hello
No, Nexus 5548 cannot be used to integrate ucs rack server with UCSM
Connectivity options for UCSM managed rack servers
==> Directly attached to FI ( FEX not required )
==> FEX 2232 PP
Single wire management
Dual wire management
For C200 M2, only dual wire management is supported.
Thanks

I seen the docs on Single and Dual wire, but what I don't understand is what's the 2232PP "doing" that the 5548 can't do...

Hello,
5548 is similar to FI 6248 and FEX 2232 is similar to IOM in chassis.
5548 hardware is different from FEX 2232 and cannot function as FEX to integrate rack servers with UCSM.
Thanks

Thanks Padma, I came across the same info yesterday.
C220 M3 with 1225 VIC for DirectConnect makes more sense..
