UCS SNMP integration with BMC Patrol

Hi,

We have a UCS 6248 and we use BMC Patrol for monitoring. We get events in the BMC server from the UCS but they don't make any sense as they come as 6,3,78 and strange numbers. We use public community string and the servers communicate with each other as the BMC server is getting events but not in a readable format.

Can someone please help and advise how the traps are to be setup. Thanks

Hi Tej,

A couple ideas that you might want to consider are to see if you are recieving the same traps (or proper traps) with a lightweight trap reciever like iReasoning. I have put together instructions on this for C-Series here:

Also, you can try running Wireshark to determine what is being recieved by the system running BMC Patrol. This should help you get a preliminary understanding what is going on in the environment and where your issue resides.
