API for automated media file fetch

Hi,

I am trying to make an automated process to fetch the attachments for a community.  I see that for a given Post I can get information about its attachments including the URI for the document.

Is there a web service API call to fetch that URI?  I see Add an Attachement and Delete an Attachment, but not download. Our site uses SSO so I need an OAuth way to do this download.

I have looked at that documentation.  I didn't see anything about how to fetch a given resource.  I see how I can find the URI for resources, but not how to download one from a site protected with SSO.  Can you be more specific about which API call to make?
