There is no imposed limit on number of simultaneous XMPP connections with SocialMiner to support the monitoring of injected tasks. And things should work as long as number of events for monitoring are within reasonable limits for the max of 15K tasks per hour.

Similarly for polling via APIs, there is no imposed limit.

Clearly the XMPP events/notifications method works well for volumes more than the minimum.
