I am trying to capture all the location update push notification using FLUME http source (listener).
Currently, I am using "unacknowledged count" in CMX to verify the completeness of the data.
However, there is an increment in my unacknowledged count.
Can some one advise what could be the problem? or is there a better way to do a completeness check?
CMX notification subscription API does not guaranteed the delivery of the message. The acknowledged count simply indicates the best-effort delivery, where messages may be dropped due to queue overflow, or a variety of factors.
One way to decrease the volume of notifications would be to filter the notification by conditions, mac addresses (import list of active mac addresses), or type of event (use in/out of floor or zone instead of a movement calculation). This would help ensure higher acknowledged counts. If the event is an emergency, then best to have the device send the emergency signal several times.
