CMX 10 Clients in a zone using tags

We are hoping to track clients in an area which spans two floors of a building ie, there is a tiered seating area that goes from level 4 to level 5. I have created a zone for each floor and have added a tag, so we can identify the zones as being the same location.

We would like to know if anyone has used the API to get client info for multiple zones using a tag.

I see it is possible to create a report in analytics using tag, so hope it is is possible via the API.
