Docker Support

• Are there any  plans to support Docker containers on the IR8x9 platform.
• If so, please provide the details. 

Yes. It is in the development/test phase and will be released soon.

 Cisco IOx supports Docker now (from IOx version 1.2). Please refer to https://developer.cisco.com/site/iox/documents/developer-guide/?ref=quickstart (go to App Development --> Docker Apps) for details.

IOx v1.2 brings the ability to use docker tools and ecosystem to create IOx compatible applications. Please refer to the latest documentation (https://developer.cisco.com/media/iox-dev-guide-11-15-16/docker/docker-applications/#overview). Please note that what the developer will be doing is to use docker toolchain/images to create IOx ready applications. We DO NOT run docker daemon on the device however. These apps will be run using LXC and AUFS on the device.
