I installed flare server and the trilateral app on my iPhone. I changed the IP address in the app to the flare server but i did not get any response from the server.
So i checked basics. I checked the connectivity between the iPhone and the server. Ping is possible - so nothing wrong about IP's. But if i sniff the network card from my server, there are no packets from the iPhone reaching my server on port 1234
I can open the webpage http://server:1234 from my iPhone. Really locks like the app is not working right.
It's also not working from the Xcode simulator.
Any troubleshooting tipps would be appreciated.
I installed everything again - cause there were new versions of flare code on github. But now i ended up in this. Any suggestions?
The settings should look like the screenshot below, except with the address of your server in place of the one indicated. It's a good sign that you can get to http://server:1234 from the browser, so it should be reachable.
Are there any errors in the debugger console in Xcode?
Definitely make sure that in your Info.plist that "App Transport Security Settings" has a setting called "Allow Arbitrary Loads" set to YES. Otherwise apps will not be able to make outbound connections over unencrypted HTTP.
Are you using the latest version of Xcode? If you have problems about the WatchKit extension, you can try deleting that part of the project. AppleWatch support is currently in the experimental phase.
Since i'm using the new code version of flare i'm still in trouble with the things.app on the watchkit extension. I could not manage to delete this extension properly. I still end up in either the scenario with the fault or in the scenario where the Trilateral.app is not possible to built at all. Any help would be appreciated.
