Model: UCS C210 M2
Firmware Version: 1.4(3v)
We are trying to retrieve integrated NIC info from CIMC via API. But for some reason we are not getting that info. We queried for adaptorHostEthIf and this returns zero children. We believe CIMC host does have embedded NIC's.
configResolveClass cookie="1396938100/ff42d638-f681-1681-800b-1230b64ea834" response="yes" classId="adaptorHostEthIf">
<outConfigs>
</outConfigs>
</configResolveClass>
Also from CIMC GUI, Server -> Inventory -> Network Adapters table is blank.
But when we see under Admin -> Network , then under LOM properties we see 2 nics with their corresponding MAC Addresses. But these nics doesn't show up via XML. I dumped the object model starting from computeRackUnit and don't see this.
Any idea about this. All I wanted is to retrieve embedded nic info from CIMC. 1.5 supported hardware's are reporting this properly. But network interface managed object table name is different in 1.5.
Appreciate for any inputs.

Hi JackBoston,
Are you seeing this on one systems or multiple? What are you useing to query the system? Are other queries (e.g. topSystem) returning objects as expected? Have you tried Visore, the embedded model browser? I ran this on my C210 M2 running 1.4(3c) and also with 1.4(3v) and in both cases I am seeing these objects yet all the other screen shots are consistent with what I am seeing on my systems (which is what I would expecte to see):
You can navigate to Visore as follows:

Hi Jeff,
I tried query via visore and not getting nic objects. Here is the snapshot
I am able to get other objects ex: topSystem, computeRackUnit etc etc. From a different team I got two C210 M2 servers. They both have same issue.
CIMC GUI, Server -> Inventory -> Network Adapters table in-general should show these nic's right?
Also Admin -> Network > LOM properties does show two nic's. Those are the embedded nic's?
Appreciate your inputs Jeff.
Regards
Sai.

Hi Sai,
Would it be possible to e-mail me (directly) the output of an inHerarchial TopSystem query? My e-mail address is jeffoste at cisco dot com. This will help me understand more about your system as well as where it differs from the system I have here. Cheers!
Jeff

Thanks Jeff.
