I'm trying to determine whether I'm interpreting the results correctly, regarding the results of the api/location/v2/clients data.
For instance, within the results of the /clients active request, the mapHierarchyString value has Campus>Building>Floor
versus another returned result, the client object mapHierarchyString below has Campus>Building>Floor>Zone
does this indicate that the client object with mac: 00:00:2a:01:00:1b is located on a floor, but not in a zone. where as the client object with 00:00:2a:01:00:1c is with a defined zone, on a floor, in a building, at a campus?
A way to approximate the x,y location on the activity map is to click on a wireless client dot. Also, by adding GPS coordinates to the map will enable the lat,lon values. Regarding the hierarchy it appears that map coordinates 189,38 ft is not in a zone.
There are many good references and design guides for CMX location analytics, see Cisco Connected Mobile Experiences REST API Guide, Release 10.3 - Cisco and Cisco Connected Mobile Experiences (CMX) CVD - Cisco.
